Small Pale Ambergris on a Pocket Scale
This small pale ambergris, rounded, with brown and violet tones, is genuine ambergris from my own photos at Ambergris Canada. I'm Nabil Valiulla, and I've assessed 4,678 specimens since 2004. If you've found something similar, anywhere in the world, send me photos and I'll help you identify and value it for free.

- Rounded, with brown and violet tones
A small, rounded piece of ambergris on a black pocket scale, photographed close up against a white wall. Its pale surface is broken by brown patches and fine cracks, and the light gives the lower half a violet cast. The scale's display is blank in this shot. Small pieces like this are still worth sending me photos of.

I post new pieces, field trips and identification tips on Instagram.

Most of what washes up is driftwood and stone. I post the pieces that aren't, and how I tell them apart.
