Lot of Dark Ambergris Chunks on a Towel
These dark ambergris chunks, about seventeen pieces on a towel, are genuine ambergris from my own photos at Ambergris Canada. I'm Nabil Valiulla, and I've assessed 4,678 specimens since 2004. If you've found something similar, anywhere in the world, send me photos and I'll help you identify and value it for free.

- About seventeen pieces on a towel
A lot of about seventeen dark brown to near-black chunks of ambergris laid out on a long white towel, with a heap of crumbs, a bag of smaller bits, a lighter and a small digital scale beside them. The pieces are irregular and craggy. Laying a lot out like this lets me check each piece separately.

I post new pieces, field trips and identification tips on Instagram.
Most of what washes up is driftwood and stone. I post the pieces that aren't, and how I tell them apart.
