Assorted Ambergris Pieces on a Towel
This assorted ambergris, about 25 pieces on a white towel, is genuine ambergris from my own photos at Ambergris Canada. I'm Nabil Valiulla, and I've assessed 4,678 specimens since 2004. If you've found something similar, anywhere in the world, send me photos and I'll help you identify and value it for free.

- About 25 pieces on a white towel
About twenty-five pieces of ambergris laid out on a white towel, from chalk white to grey and dark brown. Most are rounded or egg-shaped and a few are broken open, showing cream or dark, porous insides. Seen together, they show the range of colour, shape and size within genuine finds.

I post new pieces, field trips and identification tips on Instagram.
Most of what washes up is driftwood and stone. I post the pieces that aren't, and how I tell them apart.
