Two Tan Ambergris Pieces with Red-Brown Flecks
These two tan ambergris pieces, red-brown flecks on broken faces, are genuine ambergris from my own photos at Ambergris Canada. I'm Nabil Valiulla, and I've assessed 4,678 specimens since 2004. If you've found something similar, anywhere in the world, send me photos and I'll help you identify and value it for free.

- Red-brown flecks on broken faces
Two tan pieces of ambergris: one held in hand, the other resting on a dark deck rail beside a hedge, with a street behind. Both have rough, broken faces in pale tan and sand colours, with small red-brown flecks set into them. The piece on the rail is about twice the size of the one in hand.

I post new pieces, field trips and identification tips on Instagram.

Most of what washes up is driftwood and stone. I post the pieces that aren't, and how I tell them apart.
