Angular Tan Ambergris Chunk with Dark Flecks
This tan layered ambergris, an angular chunk with dark flecks, is genuine ambergris from my own photos at Ambergris Canada. I'm Nabil Valiulla, and I've assessed 4,678 specimens since 2004. If you've found something similar, anywhere in the world, send me photos and I'll help you identify and value it for free.

- An angular chunk with dark flecks
An angular chunk of ambergris held up in sunlight beside a black-painted fence. It is brown to greyish tan, with fine layers visible along its broken edges and a few dark inclusions, one shiny and pointed. It is the darker of the two pieces in my light and dark grades video.

I post new pieces, field trips and identification tips on Instagram.

Most of what washes up is driftwood and stone. I post the pieces that aren't, and how I tell them apart.
