Light Ambergris Held Against a Fence
This light ambergris, pale and lumpy, held against a fence, is genuine ambergris from my own photos at Ambergris Canada. I'm Nabil Valiulla, and I've assessed 4,678 specimens since 2004. If you've found something similar, anywhere in the world, send me photos and I'll help you identify and value it for free.

- Pale and lumpy, held against a fence
A pale, lumpy piece of ambergris held up in one hand against a dark wooden fence, with green leaves below. The surface is cream to light tan, rough and uneven, with faint brown streaks across the face and an orange-brown edge where it has broken. It comes from my video comparing light and dark grades.

I post new pieces, field trips and identification tips on Instagram.

Most of what washes up is driftwood and stone. I post the pieces that aren't, and how I tell them apart.
